1st off I have to say watch out for Norway weve been watching a LOT of films and tv series from there and theyre kicking cinema ass This film is a excellent action comedy we watched the dubbed version as we cant handle sub titles and it STILL was phenomenal. It had a stranger things feel to it with simon pegg spice My wife and I both enjoyed it but we dont over think films and appreciate when a cast and crew are creative and enjoy making a decent film with a unique story. Action comedy is one of the best genres when done right and this most certainly was it had heart lots of laughs excellent action decent special effects and a FANTASTIC last half and ending. Starts a little slow but once the plot gets going its a blast pun intended and it stays entertaining until the excellent conclusion. We hope for a sequel as it most certainly deserves one. We will mark this and definitely watch it again. Great job Netflix This is a winner.

This film was not as bad as the ratings. It was funny and had good structure. The characters were likeable and each cast member brought fun elements to their role. Making it into an alien film was a good choice as with the added elements of laser tag the film took good direction. Overall a pretty good and fun film that I could see there being a sequel for.

Well well now this was definitely a blast of a movie. So you could say that writer Emanuel Nordrum and director Martin Sofiedal managed to deliver a movie that certainly lived up to its name.When I sat down to watch the 2022 Norwegian movie Blasted I didnt know what I was in for here aside from it being an action sci fi comedy. But on account of it being a new movie that I hadnt already seen and the movie having an interesting postercover then of course I had to watch it. And I wasnt really harboring any expectations here so the writer and director had every opportunity to entertain me.And color me impressed because Blasted was a really enjoyable movie. I was impressed with the storyline here because it was one that immediately caught my attention and director Martin Sofiedal never let go before the movie had ended. So I was genuinely entertained by Blasted from the very beginning and up to the very end. Thumbs up to writer Emanuel Nordrum and director Martin Sofiedal for that accomplishment.I am only vaguely familiar with Norwegian cinema so I wasnt familiar with the cast ensemble that participated in the making of Blasted. But I have to admit that they definitely had put together a very nice and diverse ensemble here as the actors and actresses all contributed something interesting to the movie and put on good performances.Blasted is a great combination of action comedy and sci fi and it works out marvelously on the screen. The action is fast paced and shot in a manner so it feels like you are right there alongside the protagonists in the movie. The comedy used in the movie is spot on and well used adding a lot of enjoyment to the overall feel of the movie.Now I was really impressed with the special effects in Blasted. It was eye candy to behold and it definitely added a lot of layers to the movie.I can only warmly recommend that you take the time to sit down and watch Blasted if you get the chance. This movie was such a nice surprise and a blast of entertainment. Well worth taking the time and effort to watch. I was genuinely and wholeheartedly entertained by this 2022 Norwegian movie.My rating of Blasted lands on most well deserved eight out of ten stars.

Youve seen this before a silly comedy about aliens invading some isolated place where quirky people find the tools to repel them. And youve seen comedies that rely almost exclusively on the charm of their stars. The actors were charming and fun enough and the premise amusing. The effects were adequate.However it was way too silly and unstructured for me to enjoy. Other commenters have suggested I stop overthinking it and just enjoy it. Well I am an overthinker so this film is clearly not for me. Not that it wasnt funny but I had to skip large portions of it and in the end I just wanted to get it over with.Bottom line adequate but not recommended.

What an amazingly hilarious sweet and stylish sci fi comedy made in the style of the 80s sci fis which we enjoyed so much as kids. Full of strong characters and very silly and laughable discussions also there is no politics involved at all which is a rarity these days especially when it comes to Netflix powered movies. I almost missed this due to the low points and happy i did watch though should have spared this for a Friday haha

Really enjoyed watching this movie Funny premise with some cheesy SFX combined for a much better flick than any of those crappy MIB moviesThe two leads are solid and convincing.

A Norwegian Action Comedy Sci Fi very much in the vein of Shaun of the Dead or The Worlds End movies by Simon Pegg Edgar Wright. Highly recommended for lovers of those films.Viewed on the Netflix Australia day of release. Audio was the English language dub and voices were decent enough.Great fun foreign film lots of funny lines and action with only a little low brow humour. The main premise of fighting back is brilliant.Best bits Paintball Vs Laser Tag

This is a BLAST pun intended beause it has all those goofy movies of the past in it. They even refer to the Walking Dead verbally. Buddy comedies of days long gone the antagony the big boss the impossible matrix like fight scene the unexpected hero the coming of age the I must have missed a lot whilst laughing out loud.This is not about the story which is predictable as it should be this is about having fun and making film for the love of it. Look at it like you did at Zack and Miri making a mess of it.Yes some scenes deserved more attention some comedy could have been done a bit better but man what a fun ride it was

If you sit back and enjoy it for what it is its tones of fun. Its by no means a serious film its very silly but in a really fun way. The jokes landed for me and it was well made with decent effects. Theres a really great monster design towards the end too.I like the fact theres all round character growth too except for one guy... But the others wise up to him. It has that Buddy Cop feel with the two leads. One is serious but needs to let loose and the other is too loose but together theyre great.I loved the roomba it just really got me

It looked really promising but there was a power cut after 5 minutes and when the power came back on no one really wanted to watch the rest of it. The bear suit was funny though.

Hey its a Norwegian sci fi movie pretty good better than most and very funny. Something a bit different than regular usa movies and again funny. Kind of like early Simon pegg movies.

A film as good as blade runner but more tolerable. This reminds us the sience fiction movies of the 80 decade that the features of the story has been more deeper on that. What sience fiction movies of postmodern times need is the believable and more tolerable acting that this movie has got a taste of that.

The trailer was so much fun. Such a shame that the middle part was messy and the dialoguewriting needed a lot of sprucing up. I wish the whole movie was as good as the end scene.Didnt come close to reach the height of Edgar Wrights Cornetto Trilogy and the 2 main leads are no Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. But probably budget is the issue it looked like a 2010 Syfy movie of the week at times. But VFX complaint aside the 2010 vibe is a plus in my book since we dont get something like this anymore. Overall an ok watch if you dont have anything else.

I dont like slapstick comedy and I didnt think Id enjoy this. But the trailer look like an Edgar Wright film so I have it a whirl.The stand out scenes all took place in the police station with the three leads Axel Byum Fredrik Skogsrud and Ingrid Bols Berdal. For me this is where the humour was the strongest. Their comic timing was perfect and I cant help but think it would have been a stronger movie had it have been those three stuck in a room during an alien invasion. Ingar Helge Gimle provided nice additional support also.I found the scenes in the woods with the other buddies set the film back a lot. Andr Srum did his best with what he had but one cant help but wonder how much better hed have fared at the police station with the main players.Its a movie Id watch again. It was light hearted fun and just what the world needs in these dark times610.

A genuinely fun movie. The jokes landed the emotional points hit and the action was great thats all you need from an action comedy. Do give it a chance Its reminiscent of older films 90s 2000s that were just pure fun.

It never happened to me to watch a movie and hate absolutely every character. Its really amazing that a director can screw up everything in a movie. Waste of opportunity and a waste of time for me because I watched it until the end.

Scifi production made on the minds of norwegians and especially dedicated to the inhibitors or habitors of world ufo reknown spot no.1 HESSDALEN trndelag norway. Yes the valley exists the phenomenons are still there just buckle up and cum....as a comedy for foreignersaliens which means anybody else except us norwegians will have problems absorbing the humour that rules this film. Its actually so inbred trndersk like geordies to the brit and aussie to a kiwi with the dialects and all the krsk moonshineand profanity that even i living in southwest norway had problems here and there to take onboard so turn yourself into a dummy because the ccs wont help its darn homie humour...the plot though do have some inconsistence and the playtime is a bit like the 50 K cross country skiing but whatte hell yes that is a city name in norway on the road to the vrnes airport they even have hell hotel there try that and it tastes good lelltoo. Im surprised and still stunned by the green light cause this is like beavis and butthead does hessdalen A very norwegian recommend from the grumpy old man.

I saw a trailer and thought it looked really good. Then I watched the movie and was rather bored. The idea just couldnt sustain the length of the movie. It became annoying to have the same characters doing the same thing over and over.Ultimately I wouldnt recommend this to anyone and even cancelled my netflix subscription.

The absolute worst piece of garbage. I have ever watched. No matter how bad you think it might be its worse. The acting is embarrassing. Maybe an 8 year old would like it but I doubt it.

Things like should never go beyond a draft let on being made and then released. Netflixs agenda is quantity over quality which is back firing. As Netflix doesnt have test screens for audiences everything gets released once made.This one felt like some childhood wish came through for the makers i bet it must of lot of fun shooting it but the script has no soul or humour to keep you engaged. Took me 3 days to finish it while being on my phone. If thats your thing then go fry your brain with this mediocrity.Im Out

Film that generally gives a very ugly feeling of embarrassment and inadequacy to the viewer that pervades him throughout the film making it excessively difficult to watch and also making it too embarrassing to finish without experiencing immense effort in doing so.

Your usual 80s SciFi movie except theres no likeable hero or plot youd like to follow. The blasts come from lazer tag guns that kill aliens. Whole movie explained.

The first half is heavy going and not as funny as it think it is. But if you stick with it once the alien invasion kicks in you will be rewarded with an enjoyable second half.
