The 355 is modern commercialism. It has little to say and is painfully generic but it plays up its female centric cast hoping to make up for its thin substance. Diverse representation is a positive but when its solely a marketing gimmick for an underwhelming project its tainted. In fact The 355 is fairly insulting because female led movies often get these poor efforts. Specifically the film is a collection of cliches. Stock characters predictable heel turns unrealistic MacGuffins exaggerated stakes and some deus ex machina for good measure. Plus the acting is bland outside of Nyongo who brings legitimate emotion.Technically the camerawork is excessively shaky and the editing is overcut fruitlessly compensating for dull action. The production design is uninspired and limited. The audio design is involved but sometimes misuses action sounds. The music is forgettable and the effects are overly sanitized. Lastly the direction lacks unity creating a mundane and inconsistent experience. None of this is necessarily terrible but The 355 just isnt great. Overall it feels like a halfhearted ploy that capitalizes on good natured people who want to support minority empowerment. They did almost everything to kill this movie a shallow story a very slow pace bad directing flat dialogs drunk cameraman music video like editing.I went to watch this movie because Diane Kruger is a good actress and she acts in good movies and she delivers.But this time something went very wrong. Although Diane Kruger delivers this time too and she is the strongest actor in the movie the movie itself just doesnt work.The plot has a lot of holes. The pace is very slow I even almost fell asleep at some point.The dialogs are lateral and dont add to the story.The cameramans work is just crazy there might be a single actress in the frame but she will be slightly out of focus. Extreme close ups and choppy editing in fight scenes make them unwatchable. It feels like the movie was shot not for an anamorphic frame it is shown because the framing is very weird a lot of sliced heads. And yes the jagged drunk man camera is in its glory.For the female badass agents movie the body doubles substitute is very noticeable in every scene highlighted with the edits when the actress is replaced with a double which doesnt help to sell the realism at all.The characters are dull and the story is just very basic and weak.Wait for it to appear on streaming platforms. Dont waste your money on movie tickets.

Just simply bad. Very hammy cheesy i just couldnt get into it. My wife fell asleep had to keep waking her up LOLActing was wooden and dialogue campy and forced... I just could not figure out what direction it was goingIm sorry but i highly recommend avoiding this film its a lot of money these days in this terrible economy.

Amazing how I did not care one way or the other what was about to happen to whom.Acting was.. well not award winning and the plot I can not say a lot about because perhaps it turned out amazing from that generic and insultingly flawed beginning. Jessica Chasrain supposedly turned down a role in the Tom Cruise Mission Impossible film series so it is easy to see where the idea comes from for the 355. Chastain tries to rectify her error by being involved in the creation of this wannabe franchise.Unfortunately for her the film is a perfect example of bland. The pacing is pedestrian the plot non existent and the characters for the most part cypher. Chastain as the main character is the least interesting character and is far less charismatic than Lupita Cruz and Kruger.All this could be compensated for if the film had spectacular action scenes like those performed by Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible series. The action is unimaginative and the exciting bits are obviously performed by stunt doubles. When the actors.

This modern Hollywood A lister action flick was so insipid and uninteresting I confess to a few power naps and that was after only 10 minutes. This glossy trip with its copycat female James Bonds or maybe Jason Bournes is a concept borrowed from Charlies Angels TV series of the 1970s battered and bashed me to snooze land the eye candy simply had no engagement or any character development as incredulous action sequence followed one after the other proved relentless and relentlessly tedious. All that is worst in modern commercial cinema is encapsulated in one very drab movie.

I was eagerly awaiting my chance to see The 355 as there havent been many new movies that interest me but now after seeing it I am very disappointed. I actually couldnt even watch it because the filming was giving me a headache and making me feel queasy. I dont know if it was filmed in 4K or what but I didnt like it. And there didnt seem to be much there in terms of plot and characterizations to engage me. I am glad that I did not buy the DVD sight unseen. 110 in my book. I am now pretty much giving up on finding good current movies they all seem so poor in terms of script and cinematography its like each year gets worse and more gray as we witness the ongoing decline of Western culture. Surely movies and art in general are the fruit of a culture to be consumed by its people thus making them a good barometer of things. And in my mind things peaked in 1999 its been downhill ever since.

I went into this thinking it would be somewhat like the female version of oceans 11 which I did enjoy it was cute and funIt is. Because it is female leadExcept it boring. Which oceans 11 wasntThere is nothing original about it. The twists and turns are PREDICTABLE. The acting completely phoned in. Ive seen kindergarteners giving better performances. I know there are multiple oscar winners in this but damn are they looking like they should be returned The cinematography is meh. The soundscore is meh. The story is meh.If meh was a film this would be it.I cant believe I paid to see this and honestly I dont know why I did.I am a woman. So i dont want to be accused of review bombing because women...Do NOT waste your time with this movie.

I went into this with open eyes hoping that it might go beyond the stereotypes and be entertaining in its own right I am sadly disappointed.The plot is weak and predictable with the humour lacklustre however they do have a couple of redeeming moments. The acting is a shallow and the characters not developed in depth meaningfully.What annoys me most about these films is that it should be about showing strong women in typically male dominated roles instead it shows over emotional women who constantly have to phone home or make dry references slating men .Watchable but only just.

It should have been clear from the start how dumb this film is. Whats the device everyone is after a hard drive that is rigged with an algorithm to be able to hack into everything on the planet Access anything anywhere any time.It gets worse from there. Lazy script writing allows these superheroes acces to just about anything because they are the best. They can get through any security by just typing furiously on a keyboard or getting stuff by conning men with their beauty picking their pockets regularly taking sheets of paper out of their hands... its this dumb.And then the finale I wont even describe in which more stupid implausibility comes into play as if what was not believeable. And ultimately this becomes to the women who can save the world. The team.And just when you think the film is over.... it goes on for another half hour. This could be one of the laziest scripts ever wasting a big name cast.

One of the most boring films you will ever see I walked out with 20 to go as I wanted to beat the peak hour traffic. Do yourself a favour and save your cash for a better film in 2022

The story is too simple. The four women works together to a get a device which can destruct anything with it. So it all about tracking it fighting for it. Maybe action movie lovers would love this. As it has lot of action scenes but the story is going to disappoint them for sure.Better not to watch it. Its predictable.

What is it with the movies lately With all the great actors in this one it was a surprise it was almost unbearable to watch. The main male character was just awful and so soap opera like he ruined the movie for me. The story was choppy and dumb. The makeup was over the top and the hair was salon perfect. Plus all the dewy skin...gag me.

Wow Who Green Lights this stuff Youd think Jessica Penelope have enough experience and intel to know when something doesnt work on paper.I was in a theater made for 400 but with 2 attendees.And After I walked out there was one.Charlies Angels works. You always hear stories of producers interfering and taking over the directors vision. And here you have a producer who has now directed 2 terrible movies that werent well done by him. Clearly they should just stick to supplying and making money and leave the artskill of directing to the professionals.

It broke every cliche ever like movie makers no longer even try to make better films anymore the nonsensical gun fights the not seen on screen death obviously leading to the same played out story. The female led thing becoming about man hating to be honest every stupid worn out cliche was here but thats not for me what made it score lower a lot of male action films are equally silly but avoid hate there were two reasons this blew and both came down to casting.The lead couple were dreadful whilst I actually thought the whole women crew were actually really good it was let down by the lead Second film Ive seen JC lead and shes been rotten in both whilst not a particularly attractive woman which doesnt matter her acting was genuinely dreadful her physical scenes were embarrassing and her persona was just terrible she isnt cool tough or remotely capable at this role absolutely dreadful from line delivery to trying to do the stupid cliche tag lines. Awful.The guy... type in generic American 30 actor and take your pic... rubbish.Story was ok setting was fine but the lead two predictable nature of tue twist and same tired international stereotypes really let it down.

Lawwwwd another one of these... can people start directing for a fan base again and not trying to push agenda... this movie is just following the latest failure of Charlies Angels and the wokeBusters. I mean ghost busters.

Camera work was terrible and shaky with bad cuts and bad choreography. Also if they grounded this movie in some sense of reality I might have been able to suspend some disbelief but they have China working with America... come on.It should have been America UK Columbia with Isreal or another EU country. I dont know if they were trying to get this movie into China or something but its just bad and pandering. Yes girl power we get it but these characters are all 2D as could be. I also understand if you want to make a man the bad guy but it cant be completely cartoonish. Diane Kruger does great with what she is given and honestly would have just wanted the whole movie focused on her without all of these secondary characters.Also if you are on the fence look up the director and writers. The writer also wrote 2004 Catwoman and the newest Fantastic 4. That should tell you all what you need to know.Wait for it to come out on VOD because it wont be very long.
