Looop Lapeta review The Hindi phrase Nakkal mein bhi akkal chahiye well applies to this tripe of a film which is an official remake of the German hit Run Lola Run 1998. The original was about a young lady named Lola who must get a bagload of money in fifty minutes flat to save her boyfriend or else he will rob a store resulting in a fatal consequence. We see the same situation unfold thrice but with different consequences each time depending on Lolas reaction in each scenario.The Hindi adaptation titled Looop Lapeta with an extra o is very much the same thing. Only it is presented in a highly confusing and boring manner. Unlike the German original the pace here is shockingly slow and the constant flashbacks and flashforwards may have appeared cool to the makers but it makes Loop Lapeta a totally disjointed fare which the audience just cannot connect to. As for that needless Satyavan Savitri analogy it appears just as casual and dumb as the male lead narrates it. It is indeed a mockery of our mythology no lessTaapsee Pannu as the desi Lola is churning out the same two expressions in film after film. Offlate the actor is becoming monotonously bland and needs to get her act together fast and quick. Unfortunately choices like Loop Lapeta will only make it difficult for herRegardsSumeet Nadkarni.

Bollywood still remakes 90s movie and still does a very bad job in it. Too many flashbacks ruins the whole movie. Tapsee keeps running for most of the time. Policemen are shown as dumb. Movie is boring and comedy is not funny. Another bad hindi movie from netflix.

I didnt watch the Original German film. But this movie seems meaningless plot. Only time pass. Netflix hindi making totally scrap nowadays. I think Indian Bengali films got better plot. Netflix should try Bengali film.

Movie was total tatti and absolute nonsense. The acting from Tapsee and Tahir was okay. Story was ok. Total waste of time. not even a one time watch. Too slow and very stretchy at times.

First thing I want to say is that this film is visually amazing. I dont remember if Ive seen such type of camera work editing in any Indian film before. Now the film tried to be a dark comedy but unfortunately most of the moments didnt work specially the scenes of two brothers. Some scenes were very unnecessary. But loved the mythological angle.Both Taapsee Thahir were okay but in supporting cast only the character of Divyendu was memorable. I enjoyed watching the film specially in the 1st half. The positive thing of a time loop film is that you cant stop the film in middle. Finally its good to see this type of making in a Hindi film. Bollywood should explore these genres more maybe one day theyll take the best out of it. So watch it.Available on Netflix. MandalBros.

Though I havent watched Run Lola Run I can say Loop Lapeta is a good movie. The concept of time loop is very well presented. Till now Ive watched Source Code Maanadu now Loop Lapeta and each of them gave a very beautiful presentation of Time Loop. A very good watch for everyone.Tahir Tapsee and all others were extremely good.

Yes it is a remake of Run Lola run but its an official remake and the movie announces it in the beginning only. That doesnt stop the production to remain a remake. Infact it has been adapted so well for the Indian audiences that it ends up getting a layer of extra dimension which is actually very funny despite remaining a dark comic thriller. Making a remake is always a risk for the producers as it ends up getting compared with the original. Hats off to the director cinematographer and the cast its a great job done We had so much fun watching it. Totally recommended

When a movie is obviously bad I complete it to learn what makes a movie bad. I could not even do that for this one. 23 of the way I gave up. I dont care how it ended.With each successive movie Tapasee confirms how limited she is in her range and that she peaked with Pink. She cannot carry a movie without a formidable male co star.What is this odd quest to look edgy without actually being edgy If you dont have G men D to actually say what it stands for simply repeating G men D 10 times in a script does not make you edgy.The movie is confused about what it wants to be a dark comedy crime thriller or a character study and in the end it fails to be any thing.

India is perhaps one of the largest film industry but it has not seen as many stylistically flamboyant movies like Looop Lapeta as it should have been. And this is exactly why we need movies such as this one. A mature and unique way of storytelling that freshen up the pallete which is otherwise filled with mundane and formulaic melodramas.Looop Lapeta is remake of Run Lola Run a cult classic. Which was considered way ahead of its time stylistically. Looop Lapeta crosses that exact milestone successfully in India too. Kudos to all the people who envisioned such a film.Execution wise the cinematography and direction treads very closely to that of someone very idiosyncratic like Wes Anderson or Edgar Wright. You can literally see Andersons funky camera blocking and cinematography in some of the scenes in this film some are exactly the same. But there were plenty of unique touch in terms of cinematography. I was personally amazed to watch the extra stylized and fresh camera work in a Bollywood film. Production Design of this film was vibrant and bizarrely jazzy which was beautiful. The music was fresh totally suiting the films mood. There was a funky rhythm to the action.Performance wise both Pannu and Bhasin were commendable. In fact all the supporting cast were impactfully funny. I would summarise the whole acting performance as subtly energetic which describes the film in an apt way.The writing was funky and crisp although it is a retelling of a cult movie and hence it borrows some of that from original. But there were enough funny innuendos to make it indianised. The length might feel a bit stretched and the drama might overwhelm the rhythm of the story but the journey is definitely worth taking.Overall this is a great milestone movie for our industry. Looking forward to more such unique storytellers coming out of this country.

Just saw Looop Lapeta and loved it. The concept of time loop is one of my favourite story theme and I love to watch such movies. Im pleasantly surprised to see a nice time loop movie from Bollywood.Taapsee Pannu is so awesome in her role. Other actors have also done good acting.This movie deserves 7 810. But due to so much hate from haters Im giving it 1010.

Tahir was brilliant in kali kali ankhey.Looop lapeta is a mistake. Nothing exciting.Boring flick.Tapsee was best in Pink. After that not so much.Make people connect with all aspects.

The movie about what does an athlete do after she says she is done running. Well she runs and runs for her life her boyfriends life and to correct all the wrongs of her past.The movie is a directorial debut adapted from run Lola run. Frankly I havent watched the original version but the adapted version provides fresher take of comedic experience in Bollywood. The editing is nice no stretched plots just the pure story. Tapsi fits right into the groove of the character .the way they chose the characters name savi and satya and later linked with savitri satyavan story is refreshing touch. Taapsee and Tahir Raj Bhasin steal the show. The script is brilliant. The characters are hilarious. The twists and turns keep you at the edge of your seat.

The films is a visual masterpiece. The frames the sound design is top notch. But yes the script could hv been better. Its a nice adaptation though of the german film run lola run.

Taapsee Pannu steps into the shoes of Franka Potente albeit with a little more time to gather the money. Savi the former sprinter has 80 minutes unlike Lolas 20 to run around and come up with Rs. 50 lakh. The highlight of the story is the time loop which enables her three attempts to recover the cash in different ways and stay alive.Taapsee Pannu running in movies without a care in the world is such a mood. The actress deserves credit for her relentless and consistent effort to play unconventional characters and tell varied stories. Every Taapsee Pannu film comes with a promise of being different and that itself is a huge achievement for the actress. Looop Lapeta too is a hysterical ride with a time ticking premise that gives you the impression of being on a roller coaster. True to the original in spirit and execution the Hindi adaptation manages to create its own engaging mad world and identity.Almost an hour more than the original in duration the sense of urgency feels compromised in order to establish the ensemble characters. While you are plagued by the recurring feeling that the film could have been shorter the unhurried gamble does pay off once the film progresses. The original was rightly experimental and ahead of its time in storytelling. A string of time loop series and films have emerged since including Netflixs Russian Doll. The genre however is still relatively new in Hindi language entertainment and Looop Lapeta is a welcome change.Each loop sees Savi finding herself in a Goblin green bathroom and getting a frantic phone call from Satya pleading her to save his life. Each loop ends with a death barring one. You see the two reliving these horrid 80 minutes thrice. Though the inescapable time loop concept can seem repetitive a talented team of writers that include Vinay Chhawal Arnav Nanduri along with Aakash Bhatia ensure otherwise. The adapted screenplay is simplified a bit to not alienate the Indian audience. The humour is largely situational and thus effective.The music and animation department too play a crucial role in making this film as trippy twisty and funny as planned. A panicky Taapsee Tahir and the supporting cast each character must succumb to desperate measures to save the day and they all do it well.Looop Lapeta is a refreshing attempt to move beyond the mundane. Watch it.

I Only watched 30 min. I could not get into it. Lame. I had to turn it off. If the movie cant catch my attention from the beginning it wont catch my attention at all. Oh well. Next I see people who enjoyed this movie saying to ignore the 1 star folks. These people claim that we expect a typical Bollywood movie . False I dont enjoy typical Bollywood movies but this was just nonsense. It all depends on the person and their perspectives.
